SnipItz 3.0 allows you to create "Shows" based on the best parts
(called "Clips") of
your favorite video files. How does this work? Let's say you have
some video files, called "Britney.mov", "Beyonce.mpg", "Christina.avi",
etc. Each video is several minutes long, but you want to
create a montage of, say, the best 15-second "Clip" of each one. SnipItz allows
you to do just that, as easy as 1-2-3!
1. Add each of your movie
files to the Show's list - either "browse" for them one at a time, or just
click the "Multi-Load" button, and SnipItz will search the
directories you specify - or your entire hard drive - automatically!
2. Preview each movie file,
and set the "start" and "stop" points for the 15 second
"Clip" you want to
see. SnipItz makes this as easy a clicking two buttons! Click the
thumbnail picture below to see how:
3. Click the "Play
Show!" button, and sit back and enjoy!
Other cool features!
-
SnipItz
doesn't create video files, so there's no wasted disk space. The
datafiles that SnipItz creates are usually only a few "K"
in size!
-
The "Shuffle" button automatically rearranges the clips in random
order. Or, use the "Up" and "Down" buttons to
sequence the clips exactly the way you want them.
-
SnipItz supports all your favorite movie file types: AVI, MOV, MPG,
QT, and more!
-
Setting the "start" and "stop" points is easy, with
frame-by-frame, stop-play-pause, and slider controls!
-
Once you Register it, there are no limits to SnipItz - it can
manage an infinite number of "Shows", and each "Show"
can contain as many clips as you want. The only limit is your hard
disk space!

New features in SnipItz 3.0!
-
Rather than playing the
in Windows Media Player, SnipItz plays the Clips
itself. When it detects an error with the media file,
SnipItz now displays the error message. Clicking on
the video window while playing the show skips to the
next Clip. If you resize the window, the new size will
be remembered for that Clip. If you resize the window,
the height, width, and zoom percentage will be
displayed in the titlebar. Shift-clicking will allow
you to edit the Clip.
-
The columns in the list
control are now draggable, and now remember their
width and order between program runs. The following
new columns were added: '#' (a unique item number),
'Type' (the media file's extension), 'View' (the
number of times the Clip has been played via SnipItz),
'Viewed Date' (the last time the Clip was played), 'SizeType'
(how the media is to be displayed),
"Directory" (the folder containing the
file), 'Repeat' (the number of times to play the
Clip), 'Speed' (the playback speed), and 'Volume' (the
playback volume).
-
Multi-Load is now up to
nine times faster! An improved folder browser has
been implemented. The hourglass no longer flashes on
and off while multi-loading. When Multi-loading, you
can now additionally specify 'include' and 'exclude'
masks against the filenames found. The progress
window that displays while searching now shows the
folder name being searched, the number of matching
files found so far, and allows you to cancel while
in progress.
-
If a media file(s) in
your Show is no longer at the same location on your
disk, you now have the option to simply remove their
entries from the list, without having to search, or
to answer a lot of prompts to specify which disk
drives to search. The revamped 'Missing Files'
dialog box presents a check-listbox of drives; you
simply check the ones you wish to search. The 'Relocator'
dialog that appears while searching for the missing
media files can now be cancelled while in progress.
The 32 most recent 'most likely folders' in which to
find missing media files on are now remembered; this
makes relocating much faster.
-
Multiple Clips in the
Show list control can be selected, and then Edited
in succession. The succession can be aborted by
clicking the 'Cancel' button. The Comments field can
now be right-clicked, to display a menu of advanced
options. The media now pauses/resumes when you click
on it. You can now specify the 'rate', 'volume' and
'repeat count' for each Clip (if the media file
itself allows it). You can also specify how the Clip
should be sized: original size, zoomed to a
specified percentage, sized to a specified height or
width, or full screen. The dialog now has a range
selector tool to make it easy to set the start and
end positions for playback. The dialog now shows the
total time you have selected.
-
Shuffling is now 20
times faster!
-
The 'Tools, Rename
Clip' menu item will rename the selected media
file on disk, and then update that Clip in the
current SNP file.
